POSITION INFO:
This isn’t maintenance mode - it’s creation mode. You’ll be the key finance voice guiding business decisions, financial models, and strategy for a rapidly growing international operation. From consolidations to reporting and advisory, your fingerprints will be on every system, process, and plan that drives the South African entity’s success.

A leading UK-based group is expanding into South Africa, and they’re looking for a Finance Business Partner (CA(SA)) to lead the charge from the ground up. Based in the City Bowl, Cape Town, this is your chance to be the architect of a new finance function - setting up operations, hiring your own team, and partnering directly with leadership across borders.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and lead the South African finance function from day one
Build and manage your own team of finance professionals
Develop and maintain financial models to guide strategic decisions
Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting and consolidations
Partner with global leadership to advise on business performance and movement
Drive process alignment across shared services and global structures
Act as a trusted finance advisor to both SA operations and UK headquarters

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) – or CIMA
2–3 years post-article experience in a commercial or business partnering role
Proven exposure to tech, IT, or shared services industries preferred
Experience with financial modelling, reporting, and consolidations
Ability to advise on business movements and growth strategy
Entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable setting up new systems and leading from the front
Strong leadership potential with exceptional communication skills
