POSITION INFO:
Join a rapidly expanding financial services group operating across Southern Africa, delivering innovative payment, banking, and merchant solutions to a diverse client base. The business is scaling quickly and investing heavily in modernising its finance function, systems, and data capabilities.
This role sits at the heart of Group Finance, supporting financial planning, forecasting, and reporting across 50+ entities. You will enter an environment that is currently highly Excel-driven, offering a unique opportunity to not only strengthen core FP&A processes but also play a meaningful role in transitioning the function toward a more automated and system-driven future.
This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified CA(SA) looking to gain broad group exposure, develop strong commercial insight, and be part of a finance transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full budgeting and forecasting cycle across multiple business units, including consolidation and variance analysis
- Prepare and enhance monthly management reporting packs, providing insights into key financial drivers and performance trends
- Maintain and improve financial models, while driving automation and reducing manual processes using advanced Excel tools
- Assist with data consolidation, validation, and standardisation across a complex multi-entity environment
- Support the implementation of a new FP&A and reporting system, including testing, data mapping, and rollout support
- Perform financial modelling, scenario analysis, and profitability assessments to support business decision-making
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:Experience:- 1–3 years post-articles experience in FP&A, management accounting, financial analysis, or similar
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting environments
- Experience working with large datasets and multiple entities is advantageous
Skills:- Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data models)
- Experience with Macros/VBA and/or Power Query
- Exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools advantageous
- Basic SQL knowledge beneficial
