A leading property management firm is on the lookout for a results-driven Facilities Manager to oversee building operations across a diverse portfolio in Cape Town. This is a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives on balancing technical excellence, stakeholder engagement, and financial oversight.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing building performance, ensuring statutory compliance, leading preventative and corrective maintenance, and implementing sustainability initiatives. A critical element of the role will include driving cost-effective CAPEX and OPEX management while aligning all operations with broader strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, monitor, and report on budgets (CAPEX and OPEX)
• Drive lifecycle asset management and sustainability strategies
• Lead a team of Building Managers and Handymen across sites
• Oversee planned maintenance, refurbishments, inspections, and compliance
• Engage and manage stakeholders including tenants, service providers, and statutory bodies
• Ensure full OHS compliance and implement corrective measures where required

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Over 10 years’ experience in facilities and built environment management
• Strong financial acumen with ability to interpret income statements and budgets
• Sound technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, construction, and HVAC systems
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and project management skills
• Relevant qualifications: BSc in Property, Construction Studies, or Facilities Management; plus technical credentials (Electrical/Mechanical Technician)
• Green Building Accredited Professional or related certification is advantageous
• Computer literate, including advanced Excel and CMMS proficiency
