SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring a successful and profitable facilities management service in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA). Ensure that all operations comply with the SLA through the use of proper planning, organisation, leadership
and control.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Financial management and profitability:

Budgets
Profitability
Financial benchmarking with industry norms
Profitability ratios

Operations:

Service level agreements
Standard processes, procedures and documents
Preventative and reactive maintenance schedules
Procurement
Project management of selected projects
Technical assessments
Workshop management

Risk management:

Compliance to statutory requirements
General risk management.

Client liaison:

Build on existing client relations
Become actively involved in the FM industry (SAPOA, SAFMA, etc)

Staff:

Structure division in accordance with the requirements of SLA and within profitability norms.
Manage staff concerns
Appointments, retrenchments, etc.
Performance appraisals
Succession planning
Training of staff members

Business development:

Expansion of existing services
Identification of potential FM work in the Western Cape

General:

Sustainability in terms of "greening'''' the portfolio

Requirements:

At least five years experience in a similar management role
Extensive contract experience
Experience in managing a large portfolio
Applicable qualification
