Factory Manager

SUMMARY:
Precast manufacturing manager

POSITION INFO:

BASIC JOB SPECS is to manage:

• Supervision / monitoring of factory operations to ensure productivity, quality, and safety
• Cost control: Raw material & Wastage (Expenses vs budget)
• Staff: Two shifts, 5 supervisors – manage overtime
• Precast factory: stairs, beams and lintels
• Production driven ensure daily, weekly and monthly targets are met. Planning & casting as well as lane stripping
• Management and communication to ensure that supervisors, operators and labourers understand the requirements of the daily tasks which have been assigned to them
• Capturing and reporting of daily progress reports
• OHS management ensuring the factory is managed in safe manner

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

• At least 8 years’ relevant experience either in a similar role or as construction manager/foreman at a reputable construction company
• Knowledge of concrete, formwork, reinforcing steel and pre-tension steel
• Preferred knowledge of mechanical equipment including concrete batch plant, saw cutting machines, hydraulic jacks and overhead cranes
• Proficiency using MSWord and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and other computer software
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong administrative skills
• Ability to lead a dynamic team
• Deadline and programme driven – ability to adhere to time programmes
• Accurate work under pressure
