Factory Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Agricultural sector based in the Eastern Cape (Paterson) is seeking to employ a Factory Manager to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description: 

• Manage feed factory, incl. the following: 
• Daily feed production and planning
• Outbound distribution 
• Raw material intake 
• Housekeeping
• Effective people and performance management
• Cost and stock management
• Maintain and improve operational quality and service levels
• Manage capital budgets and projects
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor efficiencies
• Adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations
• Comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 requirements
• Promote an integrated approach to problem solving by engaging and working cross functionally with other departments
•  Manage and interact with service providers and suppliers

Job Requirements: 

Relevant Degree or similar qualification (Engineering qualification would be advantageous)

• At least 10 years’ Feed Milling experience of which 3-5 years should be at operational level

• Extensive knowledge in pellet press technology

• Management experience

• Self-driven and a team player

• Good communication skills
