JOB SUMMARY:
Please note that this position is located in the following area: Bushmans River Mouth - located closely to Port Alfred

Our client is currently looking to employ a Factory Manager for their branch as mentioned above. My client is a large boat manufacturing concern and thus needs this role to be filled as soon as possible.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role of factory manager:

Oversee production line
Manual work/boat building
Regularly walking the factory floor monitoring staff and checking that work is done correctly
Transfer boat building information on spec sheet received from Fitment center onto staff
Manage staff, including the pace of work, ensuring correct clocking in and out times
Pace and meet deadlines
Ordering stock
Control stock
Communicate between fitment center and factory floor
Create drawings of below deck layout and above deck layout per boat
Implement new ideas for control of materials, tools, etc
Ensuring deadlines are met
Enforce compliance regarding health and safety
Demonstrate problem-solving skills
Ensuring all tools are in good working order
Leadership skills and being a positive person with long-term growth ambitions

Minimum Requirments:

Factory Management Experience of at least 4 years
Technical Minded and able to function in a senior role within the company
Able to communicate well
Clear Credit and Criminal Record
