Factory Manager - Sabie, Mpumalanga

SUMMARY:
Our client is a chemical company specialising in the manufacture of wood preservatives. They currently have a vacancy for a suitably qualified FACTORY MANAGER, to be based in Sabie, Mpumalanga.   
The factory manager will have to oversee the operations of the Sabie factory.

POSITION INFO:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for:

Manufacturing
- Manufacture product according to the bill of material.
- Keep track of manufacturing in ERP system on a daily basis.

Deliveries
- Keep contact with sales team to plan deliveries.

Running of factory
- Manage a staff complement of 8 including the office manager.
- Ensure company processes and health and safety is adhered to.

Stock management
- Manage stock levels with deliveries and manufacturing lead time.

Customer interaction
- Make contact with customers from time to time to assess deliveries and assist sales team as needed.

To succeed in this challenge, the ideal candidate needs
- to have worked in the manufacturing industry for 4 years
- and have experience working and leading a team.
- Matriculated and have a management certificate or work experience equivalent.
