SUMMARY:
Our client in the FMCG industry has an opportunity available for a Factory Manager - UHT in the Malmesbury, Western Cape area.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Production Management or Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
Management Diploma
Project Management Certificate or Training
6-7 years experience within Dairy/Plant
3-5 years experience within management
Knowledge of Process Engineering/Mechanical; Plant capacity and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE); World Class Manufacturing practices and models; ISO; HACCP; OSH Act; GMP; Stores and stock management principles

KPAs:

Produce documented Plan and develop effective production planning tools and methods
Maintain Optimum Finished Goods stock levels
Short term changes to plan are made and communicated timeously to all relevant functions (Production Admin, Quality, buyer, stores etc) on a daily basis
Communication, Preplanning and detailed daily planning
Delays and breakdowns and failures are recorded and are effectively managed to minimise production losses
Manage downtime and production loss incidents effectively
Identify and implement Productivity improvements
