Feature Analyst - 12 Months Contract Location Gauteng, Johannesburg Job Type Contract - Full-Time Job Description The Feature Analyst is responsible for analysing and defining business features and requirements to support the development and enhancement of banking and financial services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that features meet business needs, comply with regulatory requirements, and align with strategic objectives. The Feature Analyst plays a key role in translating complex business processes into clear, actionable specifications for technical teams. Key Duties and Responsibilities End-to-end value stream analysis and support to compile end to end process maps Documentation of Current-state and target-state operating models Business and functional requirements specifications Data mapping and lineage documentation for current solutions and new solutions. System integration and interface analysis AI and automation opportunity assessments Process re-engineering recommendations Working with solution owners to assess and documents benefits realisation and KPI tracking Testing and implementation support Operational readiness and change impact assessments Continuous improvement backlog and prioritisation support for solution owners Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (NQF 7 minimum) in one or more of the following: Information Systems,Computer Science,Engineering Commerce,Business Science,Industrial Engineering,Mathematics,Data Science and any Related discipline Preferred Professional Certificates At least one or more of the following certifications: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Agile Business Analyst Certification Scrum Certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) TOGAF Foundation Data Analytics Certification Process Mining Certification (e.g., Celonis) AI, Machine Learning, or Intelligent Automation related certifications Technical Competencies Resources should demonstrate proficiency in: SQL and data interrogation techniques. Process modelling tools (e.g., Visio, Signavio, ARIS). Requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence). Data analysis and reporting tools. Business process documentation methodologies such as BPMN. AI and Intelligent Automation concepts and application within enterprise environments. Experience Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Business Analysis, Process Engineering, Business Process Management, or related disciplines. Minimum 5 years' experience within Financial Services and Transaction Banking environments , with specific exposure to: Trade Finance Supply Chain Finance Working Capital Solutions Payments and Cash Management Client Servicing and Operations Proven experience conducting: End-to-end process mapping and value stream analysis. Current-state and target-state operating model design. Business and functional requirements elicitation and documentation. Business process re-engineering initiatives. Data mapping, data lineage analysis, and data quality assessments. Systems integration and interface analysis. Strong experience working with business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and data stakeholders to deliver large-scale transformation initiatives. Demonstrated experience supporting solution testing, implementation, operational readiness, benefits realisation tracking, and KPI measurement. Proven experience identifying and delivering Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Automation, Process Mining, Predictive Analytics, and Workflow Orchestration opportunities. Experience working in Agile, Hybrid Agile, or Waterfall delivery environments. Ability to facilitate workshops, executive stakeholder engagements, and cross-functional working sessions.
