I’m currently assisting a leading private transportation company based in Johannesburg North, and they’re looking for a driven Finance Associate to join their growing team. Known for driving excellence on the road, they are looking for someone who will bring the same standard of precision and professionalism to their finance function. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role offers hands-on mentorship and the chance to sharpen your accounting skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. If you’re a confident communicator with 2-3 years of solid junior accounting experience, a completed tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting, and proficiency in Xero and G-Suite, this is your opportunity to accelerate your career with a company that values growth and high performance.

POSITION INFO:

As the Finance Associate, your duties and responsibilities include the following:
Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payables and receivables
Prepare invoices, track payments and send reminders
Manage collections and resolve client queries on invoicing systems
Process driver payments
Capture fuel and expense claims, and maintain updated records
Complete regular reconciliations and ensure accurate cash flow reporting
Assist with financial reports, reconciliations, and support month-end closure
Maintain organized financial records using G-Suite and Xero
Work along with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with policies, deadlines and reporting standards

Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in G-Suite and Xero Accounting Software
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a junior accounting/bookkeeping role
Excellent communicator
Attention to detail

Qualification:
Completed Finance or Accounting degree/diploma
Completed Matric (Grade 12)
