Finance Controller

My client is looking for a skilled Finance Controller to take charge of management accounting for a prominent Zambian company – Head quartered in DRC. There is a possibility the role can either be filled in Zambia or the DRC. This is an amazing opportunity for expatriates, do not miss it!

POSITION INFO:
Job Summary:
As the Finance Controller, you'll lead the preparation, analysis, and development of management accounting information.

Your responsibilities include:

• Take ownership of the balance sheet, P&L and all technical accounting duties
• Review any query raised by tax authorities
• Ensure timely monthly Finance reporting
• Set up Procedures with robust controls
• Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
• Identify key risks within the group and prepare a risk profile matrix with proposed solutions to minimize exposure
• Coordinate with other members of the Group finance team as well as work closely with the individual companies finance teams to review financial information and forecasts
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance

• Experience working in Africa
• Industry preference: Logistics, Hospitality or Mining
• Audit experience in a Big 4 firm considered an advantage
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of SAP & SAGE ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Excellent presentation skills
• Proficiency in financial software applications
