My client, a dynamic and growing business within the travel and tourism sector, is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to oversee all financial functions for their Rugby Travel division. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that combines sport, travel, and finance.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the financial management, reporting, and compliance functions of the Rugby Travel business, ensuring smooth financial operations and strategic support to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day finances for Rugby Travel Ireland.
* Input and reconcile all sales and purchase invoices using Xero.
* Maintain up-to-date reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards, and petty cash.
* Perform VAT calculations and ensure compliance with external advisors.
* Prepare and review monthly management accounts and assist with budget and cashflow forecasts.
* Ensure supplier payments and customer collections are accurate and timely.
* Maintain strong internal financial controls and support audit processes.
* Coordinate with the General Manager to ensure operational efficiency and booking reconciliations.
* Support ad hoc reporting and group financial activities, including payment releases for other entities.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

* Matric (Grade 12) and a tertiary qualification in Accounting or Financial Management.
* Minimum 5 years'' experience in financial analysis and reporting.
* Proven experience with Xero is essential.
* Knowledge of Tourplan and Sage 300/Accpac is advantageous.
* Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
