Our client is looking for a Finance Executive – This is a divisional role. reporting into Group Finance and is integral to ensuring best-in-class financial control, insights, and support that empower data-driven decision-making and sustainable growth.

As the Finance Executive, you will lead all financial reporting, operational finance, and business analysis activities for the division. You’ll oversee internal and external financial reporting processes, drive finance transformation initiatives, and provide leadership that supports the organisation’s strategic and commercial goals.

Duties:

• Oversee accurate, timely monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
• Maintain a clean control environment with strong adherence to IFRS and regulatory compliance
• Improve internal controls and financial systems for operational efficiency
• Analyse and report on profitability, variances, cost drivers, and business trends
• Benchmark performance against competitors and generate actionable insights
• Produce executive-level reports for EXCO and other stakeholders
• Lead the budgeting process and ensure alignment with strategic initiatives
• Manage capital budgeting and scenario-based forecasting
• Monitor business capacity and strategic project financial impact
• Implement effective cost modelling across business entities and shared services
• Oversee transactional operations, including procurement and premium collections
• Maintain KPI-driven processes aligned with growth and compliance targets
• Conduct feasibility studies and financial modelling for new business opportunities
• Support M&A valuations and partnership pricing decisions
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance on investment strategies and capital allocation
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance
• Set clear objectives and deliverables aligned to organisational goals
• Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to uphold audit standards

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Degree
• BCom Honours / CTA
• CA(SA)

• Completed SAICA Articles
• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience
• At least 5 years at a senior managerial level
• Proven experience in a regulated financial services firm
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
• Experience in life insurance or long-term insurance will be advantageous

• Financial Reporting & IFRS: Strong technical accounting and regulatory reporting expertise.
• Strategic Planning: Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for business growth.
• Business Acumen: Commercially savvy with the ability to drive insights and improve profitability.
• Operational Finance: Oversight of financial operations, controls, and process optimisation.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead high-performing finance teams and align them to strategic goals.
• Regulatory & Risk Compliance: Deep understanding of financial regulations and internal risk controls.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
• Stakeholder Communication: Excellent presentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Change Management: Experience in finance transformation and driving process improvements.
• Tech Proficiency: Proficient in ERP systems, Excel, and business intelligence tools.
