Finance Graduate

Qualifications & Experience

• Must have a completed undergraduate degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Management or similar (non-negotiable),
• Preferably have completed the corresponding post-graduate honours degree or diploma
• The ideal candidate will be looking to gain article experience so as to complete their CIMA qualification (preferable) or similar
• No prior work experience is necessary

Core Competencies

• Must be very well versed with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Effective communication skills with non-financial managers are essential
• Exposure to data querying software such as SQL or SAS will be advantageous

Key Role and Accountabilities:

• Assist in the preparation of management and financial accounts
• Assist in automating and streamlining reporting processes to improve timeliness of accounts
• Analyse and provide commentary on variances to forecasts and prior years
• Analyse product and client profitability and recommend actions to management to improve this where necessary.
• Do special research projects with CFO sponsorship with a view to improve sustainable financial results.
• Re-evaluate cost allocations frequently to ascertain their relevance and provide recommendations for better cost allocation methodologies
• Assist in audit queries
• Assist with reporting requests from investors
• Assist in compiling the annual budget and 3 year forecast of the organisation
• Assist with monthly tax calculations and submissions
