Finance Manager

SUMMARY:
Are you a qualified CA(SA) with solid post-article experience in a hands-on commercial role? We’re looking for a dynamic finance leader to step into a pure FM role, managing a small high-performing team and taking ownership of core financial operations. No specific project experience needed, just strong fundamentals, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for getting the numbers right.

POSITION INFO:

Oversee the full accounting function and ensure the integrity of the ERP system and internal financial processes in line with established controls
Implement and maintain strong internal controls across all financial and operational activities
Lead the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and maintaining reliable accounting records
Update debt amortization schedules and assist with the preparation and analysis of financial and cash flow forecasts, including variance reporting
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of billing, revenue collection, supplier invoices, and reconciliations.
Compile and deliver monthly management reports and consolidated group reporting
Manage cash flow activities, including banking relationships, account structures, and foreign exchange risk
Record and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
Handle regulatory interactions, including applications to central banks and other authorities for seamless operational execution
Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning with broader business strategies and group requirements
Maintain financial records in accordance with group standards, supporting strong internal controls over financial reporting.
Manage monthly IFRS reporting requirements for the regional entity
Support statutory audit processes, including planning, coordination, and ensuring audit readiness across business units
Ensure timely and compliant submission and payment of all tax obligations, including income tax, VAT, and payroll taxes
Lead and develop a team of accountants, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management

Skills & Experience:
CA(SA)
Minimum 5 years post articles experience outside of a firm
Engineering, Renewable energy or similar industry experience is beneficial
Project experience beneficial
Management experience outside of Audit
