A proudly South African manufacturing company, based in the East of Johannesburg, is seeking a hands-on and operationally strong Finance Manager to take full ownership of their finance function. ð What You’ll Be Doing
ð¹ Full Finance Function Oversight
Lead the end-to-end finance function – from GL, VAT, payroll, and tax to cash flow and audit. Be the go-to expert for accurate reporting and financial governance.
ð¹ Team Leadership & Department Management
Manage and mentor a team of 5 finance professionals, creating a high-performance culture. Take charge of recruitment, development, and team dynamics.
ð¹ Reporting, Analysis & HO Liaison
Own the monthly reporting packs, variance analysis, and year-end deliverables. Liaise with Head Office on financial results, tax packs, and forex reporting.
ð¹ Systems, Controls & Operational Efficiency
Implement and optimise internal controls. Support accurate stock and job costing processes and help streamline cross-departmental efficiency.
ð¹ Strategic Business Partnering
Work hand-in-hand with HR, Supply Chain, and production teams on payroll, budgeting, and operational matters. Provide strong financial insight to support key decisions.

What We’re Looking For
- BCom Degree (essential)
- CIMA or equivalent qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 5+ years in a finance leadership role
- Experience in a packaging/manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and comfortable with manual processes
- A hands-on, solutions-driven approach and a strong personality
- Excellent communication skills and a natural team leader
