SUMMARY:
Join my client based in the Southern Suburbs as the Finance Manager.

POSITION INFO:

Financial Manager

Location: Southern Suburbs - Cape Town

Reporting to the Managing Partner, this role requires an experienced Financial Manager to manage all accounting operations based accounting principles, prepare budgets and financial forecasts, manage month end and year end close processes. This requires an excellent knowledge of financial regulations and legislation together with excellent costing ability.

Minimum Requirements:
BCom + Articles (essential)
IFRS Experience
Management Reporting
5+ Years experience in similar role
Advanced MS Office (including MS Excel)
Working knowledge of VAT and Income Tax Legislation

Responsibilities:
Maintain financial records by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts
Reconcile general bank accounts by gathering and balancing information
Provides financial status information by preparing special reports, completing special projects
Corrects errors by posting adjusting journals
Maintains General Ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts; adjusting entries for amortizations, analyzing and reconciliation retainage and Accounts Payable Ledgers, preparing Fixed Asset Depreciation and Accruals
Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with financial legal requirements
Produce Profit and Loss Balance Sheets
Handle Quarterly and Year End Close Process
Maintain customer and supplier age analysis
Prepare the year-end audit file
Prepare budgets and financial forecasts
Process all purchase invoices
Processing payment and receipts (Local and International)
Preparing Quarterly Management Account packs
Prepare VAT201 on a monthly basis
Review financial statements during Audit time
Prepare Quarterly reports as requested
Prepare IFRS effect during audit time
