SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Manager at a Commercial Bank based in Sandton.

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for Investigating processes within the division and consider impact on the financial information of the bank, understand new projects within the division and manage processes to address all financial implications, Keep financial records up to date in and reporting requirements.

Management operations within finance business banking

Understand the operations of the various systems within the division and how these feed into the reporting system
Manage the finance operations of a channel and segment
Ensure all general ledger entries are correctly posted within the business.
Review GL mapping for both internal and external reporting to ensure accurate and consistent with products
Review the entire general ledger structure around new initiatives introduced into the Business banking unit.

Customer service and daily operations

Provide expert advice to other departments and business units regarding the Finance Operations on all channels and segments.
Communicate such changed to all departments and advise executives to facilitate decision
Ensure the implementation of New initiatives within customer solution is according to policies
Provide expert advice on proactive measures to be taken into account and ensure streamlined process implementation
Manage the financial risk for customer solution

Reporting & management of month end process

Oversee the month end process for segment and channels nationally.
Oversee the accurate allocation of journals for customer solution
Ensure all journal entries are processed accurately within set deadlines
Review monthly reconciliations of sub-systems to the reporting system

Minimum Requirements:

CA (SA) / ACMA/ACCA/CFA
5 years’ previous experience in Banking
