SUMMARY:
Looking for a Financial Manager to join an exciting South African retailer. This is an opening not to be missed, apply now.

POSITION INFO:

Lead the creation of an approved Finance Services strategy in line with overarching business goals

Ensure the effective implementation of the Finance Department strategy by means of providing direction, structure, frameworks, models and roadmaps

Develop and manage the annual budget in consultation with the COO and in alignment with business objectives

Develop and manage the quarterly forecasts in consultation with the COO and in alignment with business objectives

Ensure continuous performance and improvement of processes (AR, AP, general accounting and payroll) against KPIs

Ensure efficient and effective process flow governance

Ensure accurate and timeous closure of month end ledgers

Ensure implementation and monitoring of effective credit control measures

Oversee financial risk assessment and management of all Finance functional areas

Work with internal process owners’ and managers to identify internal control weaknesses and develop and implement improvement opportunities

Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls

Delivers complete and accurate Annual Financial Statements in accordance with the agreed timelines

Overseeing the selection, training and performance of staff

Ensure open communication channels to staff and implement change management interventions where necessary

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years post article experience

Minimum 3 years as a Financial Manager managing a medium to large sized team

Experience working in QSR (Quick Serving Restaurants) or retail

Proven strong operational financial acumen and experience

Qualification:

CA(SA) / CIMA / ACA
