POSITION INFO:

A company based in the Banking space is look for a Senior Finance Manager to join their team.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Charted Accountant CA(SA)
• Minimum 8 years’ working experience within the Banking sector
• Strong and detailed knowledge of BASEL III, Banks Act, and other Bank relevant regulations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are highly advantageous

Job description & Skills:

• Preparing management packs and regulatory developments for the Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO) and Executive Committee (EXCO)
• Providing business advice, recommending strategic interventions, and facilitating decision making that continuously improves the performance of the company and results in the achievement of goals and objectives
• Evaluating the relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements, that is VAT, TAX, SARB regulations and mitigating risk
• Liaising with various company boards and major shareholders
• Liaising with internal and/or external auditors and ensuring all year end deliverables
• Facilitating staff training and development while maintaining an environment that promotes improved efficiencies, best practices, innovation, and employee excellence within the company
