SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Sector, has an opportunity available for a Finance Manager to be based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg. This will be a temporary position.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

B.Comm (Hons) Accounting or Financial Management (NQF level 8)
6 years within the financial accounting and financial management field with exposure to PFMA
2-3 years management experience within the finance environment, general financial management systems & processes, review of policies and risk management practices
Accounting principles, PFMA, current tax legislation, Public Finance Management Act
Advantageous to be registered with a professional body –
eg. CA(SA), ACCA or CMA
Pastel Accounting, Caseware IT System
Great Plains (Advantageous)
Excel

KPAs:

Manage team performance to ensure targets & objectives are met
Build capability & capacity to meet changing organisational requirements
Ensure that all financial statements are correct and continuously updated and maintained
Development of cash flow forecasting
Recovery of monies incorrectly paid out
Grow & maintain eminence of the Company through internal & external stakeholder engagement
Ensure compliance to all governance, statutory and regulatory requirements
Undertaking risk assessments to determine any accounting practise risks
Ensuring that all financial record management processes and procedures are strictly adhered to
