POSITION INFO:

I am working closely with my client in securing their next Financial Manager who will be a CA(SA) with 1 - 2 years commercial experience post articles. They are a security entity with a international presence and are wanting to secure a trustworthy and reliable individual who will be based in the Cape Town office and reporting to the Head Office in the UK.

Responsibilities

Oversee the overall corporate budgeting preparation, financial management and financial monitoring processes
Perform financial analysis, reporting and management activities
Ensure that the financial reports are prepared and delivered on time
Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness
Generate financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc.
Make sure annual financial statements are prepared and are appropriate before submission to the Boardfor ratification
Perform the monthly Payroll run on the Payroll system
Financial control of the Head Office and co-ordinate the financial activities of all entities through relevant departmental heads
Monitor and manage all expenses within the allotted budgets
Establish key financial strategies to enhance business profitability
Comply with and keeping up to date with all the relevant tax laws & regulations and finance and finance related regulations, guidelines and codes of best practice
Develop standard and new accounting procedures to improve financial operations efficiency
Review annual budgets and recommend any changes if needed
Perform account reconciliation activities
Establish accurate forecasts regarding expenses and revenues and manage regular reporting requirements
Prepare the financial system and documentation for the external annual audit
Control of finances for Branches & Divisions
Attend Executive Board meetings and give action to decisions related to matters of finance
Liaise with auditors in relation to preparing for annual general audit
Monthly EMP201 reconciliation and submissions
Perform VAT submissions for all entities
EMP501reconciliations and submission
Preparation and submission of IRP5''s

Requirements

Seeking a CA(SA) with 1 - 2 years PQE experience in a commercial space
Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
Proven leadership and management skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to interact constructively with a diverse range of people
Strong Excel skills
