SUMMARY:
Our client, a long established, successful manufacturing concern currently seeks a Finance Manager to manage the financial and administrative function. Report to the Group CFO and lead & motivate a strong, capable Finance team, whilst focussing on organisational strategy management.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Job Requirements:

CA (SA) essential.
CIMA a strong pref.
Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.

Key Performance Areas:

Take ownership of developing the budget, forecast, rolling forecast, and estimates.
Monitor performance against budget.
Provide analysis of results and reporting key metrics while advising the management on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions and provide financial analysis and insights in support of business decision making needs.
Prepare the financial statements and present to Management, Directors and Shareholders.
Ensure adherence to proper accounting principles, procedures and systems, making recommendations for improvements and standards.
Co-ordinate internal and external financial audits and ensure compliance in accordance with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory standards and internal control system.
Ensure appropriate financing and manage Forex risk.
Mentor and develop the Financial and Accounting teams, providing training, education and opportunity for career development.
Initiate requests for Capex/Disposal/Transfers.
Costing.
Participate in the audit process.
Assess working capital and fixed assets.
Detect and prevent fraud.
Promote good Corporate Governance.
IFRS.

Competencies:

Manufacturing background a must (pref. Automotive).
Experience within a joint venture will be a definite plus.
Qualification non-negotiable.
Able to work under extreme pressure?
