JOB DESCRIPTION:

A leader in the Petroleum industry is looking to employ a hands-on Finance Manager with at least 5 years’ experience in a medium size company. The ideal candidate will have strong people management skills and have experience with doing the accounting for more than one company.

Education:

BCom Finance
Honours – preferred

Skills/Experience required:

5 or more years’ experience in a management role
Experience in the Petroleum industry will be advantageous
Strong people management experience
Strong Communication skills

Job Description:

Responsible for the accounting for three companies
Manage the finance staff and ensure deadlines are met
Ensure bank reconciliations are done daily and balance to bank statement
Month end management accounts
Review trial balance and ensure that all accounts are reconciled and reconciling items actioned within 5 days after month-end
Ensure month-end stock is closed on the first day of the new month
Responsible for yearly audits
Annual BEE certificate verification
Submission of Employment Equity return
Ensure that all payments are made on time
Manage debtors and ensure that action is taken on all overdue on 60 days and over
