JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Gas and Chemicals industry is currently in the market for a high-performing Finance Manager. The incumbent MUST be a qualified CA(SA) with 2-3 yearsâ post-article experience, preferably with experience in the same or similar industries. Please see the performance area criteria below for a more detailed description of the required responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

CA(SA)
2-3 years’ post-article experience
Experience in similar industries
Management experience

Performance Areas (Responsibilities):

Manage the finance staff and ensure deadlines are met
Ensure bank reconciliations are done daily and balance to bank statement
Month end management account
Review trial balance and ensure that all accounts are reconciled, and reconciling items actioned within 5 days after month-end
Ensure month-end stock is closed on the first day of the new month
Responsible for yearly audits
Annual BEE certificate verification
Submission of Employment Equity return
Ensure that all payments are made on time
Manage debtors and ensure that action is taken on all overdue on 60 days and over
