About the Role
A leading African engineering group is seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to oversee financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across the region. Operating at both strategic and operational levels, this role partners with executives and business units to ensure that financial insights translate into stronger profitability, compliance, and operational excellence.
What you will be doing:
- Long-term Financial Strategy – Partner with executives to set financial objectives, enhance profitability, and develop plans supporting overall strategic goals.
- Policies & Procedures – Maintain financial policies guiding operations and compliance.
- Risk Management – Identify and mitigate financial risks across operations and markets.
- ERP & Systems – Oversee finance systems, ensuring fit-for-purpose functionality and leading improvements as needed.
- Business Support – Provide input on new initiatives, pricing strategies, and ensure the company’s overall financial health.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Build collaborative relationships to drive effective strategy implementation
Requirements- CA(SA) accreditation essential.
- 10+ years’ progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5+ years in an engineering or manufacturing operational finance environment.
- Strong track record in financial strategy, cost management, and performance analytics.
- Proficiency in SAP or Pastel
- Proven ability to lead finance in complex, multi-site organisations.
