SUMMARY:
A automotive company is looking for a strong Finance Operations Specialist.

POSITION INFO:

  • Accurately prepare monthly and annual financial results in terms of IFRS and management reporting,
  • Coordination of, and Timely and accurate reporting to holding company,
  • Timely and accurate variance analysis and meaningful explanations
  • Ensure TSAM is compliant in terms of statutory requirements (SOX, IFRS, CO’s Act),
  • Coordination and Preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Timely reconciliation preparations
  • Monthly presentations to management
  • Liaising with Holding company regarding queries
  • Accurate SAP month end close procedures
  • Maintenance of SAP GL accounts.
  • Adhoc – Supporting requests from management
  • Coordinating and supporting audits from external auditors
  • Knowledge and understanding of the trial balance (Back to Basics)
  • Analysis and understanding of general ledger accounts
  • IFRS technical expert - New Accounting policy preparation and adoption
  • Financial Statement disclosure and preparation in terms of IFRS
  • Completion of various surveys
  • Preparation of information to support BBBEE requests
  • Group & company financial statements consolidation
  • Post retirement benefit accounting
  • Embedded derative understanding & calculation
  • Cashflow preparation in terms of IFRS
  • Financial Instruments understanding & disclosure
  • Capitalisation of borrowing costs calculation & disclosure
  • APDP understanding and accounting thereof

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • CA(SA), (Articles in Big 4 firm)
  • ERP system experience (SAP) – Maintenance & operational
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2-3 years manufacturing experience
  • 2 – 3 years AFS preparation ito IFRS
  • Demonstrate good management skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy (Essential) (MS Excel)
  • Good business acumen (Advantageous)
  • Overtime will be required
