Finance Solutions Analyst Role

Job responsibility

We are looking for a Finance Solutions Analyst to create, implement and maintain financial data as it relates to accounting policies and data management practices.

In this role you should have a background in technical accounting and data governance. The person should be analytical, have a good problem solving aptitude, accountable for service delivery and collaborate with others to meet deliverables.

Duties

1. Data Governance

• Create, implement and maintain chart of account policies.
• Create, implement and maintain Master Data Management. (including Data Security)
• Streamlining of master data.
• Contributes to data analysis/design.
• Review the chart of accounts and ensure it aligns to the latest Accounting standards.
• Provide business with guidance regarding the use of general ledger accounts.

1. Reporting

• Providing support to IT developers and business stakeholders regarding the build and delivery of new designs.
  • Implements changes to the financial infrastructure and relevant supporting applications and supports finance, banking and accounting disciplines.

1. Personal effectiveness

• Accountable for service delivery through own efforts
  • Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality over periods of 1 day to a maximum of three months.
  • Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills.
  • Collaborates effectively with others to achieve goals.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

1. Other

• Gains business and system knowledge and keeps abreast of new developments.

Requirements

• BCom finance honours
• Recently qualified Chartered Accountant advantageous.
• International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) experience in the Financial Services sector
• Oracle Financials and Hyperion Financial Management experience is advantageous.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
