Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
You will prepare journals, reconcile accounts, and prepare management account information for multiple companies in the group.

Other duties include:

• Ensuring the accuracy of loan draw-down repayment calculations, including the calculation of interest on arrears, early settlements and detailed amortisation
• Sending invoices with statements and payment reminder emails to customers
• Preparing and loading debit orders
• VAT Calculations and Reconciliations
• Managing and resolving unpaid obligations
• Cash Flow Management
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Ad hoc assignments

• BCom with Majors in Accounting and Finance majors – non-negotiable

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Bookkeeping/Accounting
• Industry experience: Must come from Property/Telecommunications
• Experience with Microsoft 365/Xero/Microsoft Teams or Standard Bank Online advantageous
• Excel Advanced Level
• Financial understanding of loans/leases/amortisation
• Problem solver

• Effectively works under pressure
