SUMMARY:
Are you an Accountant looking to get into financial services and help SME’s around South Africa, to make a change to the South African economy? This opportunity is for you!

POSITION INFO:
You will prepare journals, reconcile accounts, and prepare management account information for multiple companies in the group.

Other duties include:

Ensuring the accuracy of loan draw-down repayment calculations, including the calculation of interest on arrears, early settlements and detailed amortisation
Sending invoices with statements and payment reminder emails to customers
Preparing and loading debit orders
VAT Calculations and Reconciliations
Managing and resolving unpaid obligations
Cash Flow Management
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Ad hoc assignments

Education:

BCom with Majors in Accounting and Finance majors – non-negotiable

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in Bookkeeping/Accounting
Industry experience: Must come from Property/Telecommunications
Experience with Microsoft 365/Xero/Microsoft Teams or Standard Bank Online advantageous
Excel Advanced Level
Financial understanding of loans/leases/amortisation
Problem solver
Effective communication skills
Team player
Deadline driven
Effectively works under pressure
