POSITION INFO:
Our client, in the stockbroking sector, is looking for a Financial Accountant with at least 2 years post-articles experience to join their finance team. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a regulated, fast-paced financial services setting and is eager to make an impact in the world of equity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage trust account and proprietary account reconciliations in line with FSCA and JSE regulations
• Analyse trading revenue streams, brokerage fees, and margin income
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (CISCA, FAIS, and JSE rules)
• Prepare statutory returns (VAT, income tax, and provisional tax) and assist with annual budgeting
• Collaborate with internal operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure seamless financial oversight

• CA(SA) with 2 years post-articles experience in financial services, ideally in stockbroking, asset management, or capital markets
• Solid understanding of IFRS and regulatory reporting in a FSCA and JSE-regulated environment
• Experience with financial systems such as BDA, Avaloq, or Iress will be advantageous
• Analytical, proactive, and able to work under pressure with a high level of accuracy
