POSITION INFO:

An established concern is now on the lookout for an astute Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a 12 month contract basis. This amazing opportunity will allow the successful candidate to exhibit their number crunching and reporting prowess. The ideal individual for this role will have hands-on experience with the full financial accounting function, group reporting, auditing and implementation of controls.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:

General Accounting & Financial Reporting
Fixed Assets & Provisions
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Intercompany & Compliance
Master Data Management
Audit & Controls
Group Reporting

As you will be responsible for hitting the ground running extensive experience is essential. You will also be hands-on involved with the department.

The requirements:

Qualification:

BCom Honours Degree in Accounting, Financial Management or similar
Newly Qualified CA(SA) - preferred

Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting and group reporting
Exposure to ERP systems and financial reporting tools is advantageous

Skills Required:

Must have a high degree of skill in Business Computing Applications such as Word Processors, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint Enterprise Resource Planning applications (Maximo/SAP or equivalent)
High attention to detail and accuracy

Advanced Excel Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS or local GAAP)
Used to working within a multi-national environment

Deadline driven
