We’ve partnered with a standout retail brand that’s looking for a Procurement Administrator to join their dynamic team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. POSITION INFO:
As the Procurement Administrator, your duties could include the following:
Oversee the end-to-end purchase order cycle—from requisition through to final delivery
Safeguard accuracy, compliance, and on-time execution of all procurement activities
Review and validate purchase requisitions, ensuring the right approvals and supporting documents are in place
Monitor, track, and follow up on orders, shipments, and delivery progress
Act as the liaison between suppliers and internal teams, driving on-time store deliveries
Quickly resolve order, invoice, and delivery challenges to keep operations running smoothly
Keep the supplier database current and accurate
Support supplier performance evaluations across pricing, quality, delivery, and service standards
Maintain clear, consistent communication with suppliers on orders, specifications, and changes
Build and strengthen supplier partnerships through regular engagement and aligned service expectations
Assist with procurement negotiations, ensuring competitive pricing and favourable terms
Conduct routine stock counts and reconciliations to maintain accuracy
Investigate discrepancies and ensure compliance with audit and FAR requirements
Support stock rotation strategies and prevent obsolescence
Oversee the de-installed and maintenance stock management
Collaborate with Finance and Waste Management teams to streamline processes
Partner with Store Operations and Finance to forecast needs and maintain optimal stock levels
Maintain precise inventory movement records
Work closely with warehouse and store teams for accurate, efficient goods receipting
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders to prevent errors
Assist in processing returns of damaged or incorrect goods
Take on additional responsibilities as required in support of procurement and operations
Skills & Experience:
3-5 years of experience performing the full procurement function
Excellent communication skills
Strong management and leadership skills
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant procurement ERP systems
Experience in the retail industry would be highly advantageous
Qualification:
Completed Matric (Grade 12)
Relevant diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or related field
Relevant procurement or inventory management certifications would be highly advantageous
