POSITION INFO:
A leading Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial management, reporting, and analysis to support operational, budgeting, and strategic decision-making across the Group.

Duties:

• Manage the financial accounting function across multiple projects.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets and highlight variances.
• Oversee banking, cash management, and daily/monthly cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and statutory obligations (VAT, PAYE, etc.).
• Liaise with Auditors and maintain robust internal controls.
• Manage fixed assets, insurance claims, trade debtors, and creditors.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff as required.
• Undertake ad hoc financial projects and group administrative duties.

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA) preferred.
• 3–5 years relevant experience in financial accounting or financial management.
• Proficiency in SAGE Evolution and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and audit practices.
