SUMMARY:
Join a large, established organisation as a Financial Accountant supporting core finance operations in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on financial control, reporting, budgeting, and compliance while managing and developing a small finance team. This position offers strong exposure, stability, and the opportunity to drive process improvements and add business value.

POSITION INFO:

Manage debtors, creditors, and cash flow processes
Prepare, review, and approve journals, accruals, and provisions
Review general ledger and balance sheet prior to month-end close
Perform monthly balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
Analyse management accounts, investigate variances, and engage stakeholders on corrective actions
Compile month-end financial and management reporting
Prepare annual operating and capital budgets and assist with forecasting
Load budgets and forecasts into the financial system
Manage and monitor capital expenditure and fixed asset registers
Support internal and external audits and resolve audit queries
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory requirements
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and control
Allocate work, guide team members, and support ongoing development
Maintain finance policies, SOPs, and reporting deadlines.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Finance or Accounting leadership role
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills
Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement ability
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset

Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting
SAICA or SAIPA qualification.
