POSITION INFO:
Our client is a well-established and reputable hospitality group with a strong footprint in South Africa. Known for its commitment to service excellence and operational efficiency, the organisation offers a collaborative environment where finance professionals play a key role in driving performance, profitability, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
Manage the full month-end process, including journal entries and reconciliations
Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records
Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, VAT, and statutory requirements
Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements (AFS) and manage the audit process
Monitor revenue, cost control, and expense management within a hospitality environment
Support cash flow management and financial planning
Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
Advanced Excel and financial systems experience
Solid knowledge of IFRS, tax, and statutory compliance
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
BCom Accounting (essential)
CIMA
Minimum 6 years’ post-graduate experience in a Financial Accountant role
Experience within the hospitality or services industry is highly advantageous
