POSITION INFO:
You will form part of a dynamic finance team responsible for supporting the financial operations of a large scale mining environment. This role is ideal for a Financial Accountant who thrives in a deadline driven setting and enjoys financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and working closely with operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
Manage month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, VAT, and statutory requirements
Assist with annual financial statements (AFS) and external audit processes
Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to management
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Maintain general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with cost analysis and reporting across operational divisions

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):

Strong financial reporting and reconciliations experience
Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
BCom Degree in Accounting (essential)
3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant role
Mining, manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industry exposure advantageous
