SUMMARY:
A well-established JSE listed healthcare group, with roots dating back over three decades, is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to contribute to accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, a high level of analytical ability, and the capacity to translate financial data into meaningful insights that support business performance.

Duties:

Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
Perform detailed variance analysis against budgets and prior periods, identifying key drivers
Support the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting packs
Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements
Partner with business units to provide financial insight and support operational initiatives
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring actual performance against targets
Provide profitability and cost analysis to support strategic decision-making
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy

Skills & Experience:

BCom in Accounting or a related field (essential)
CIMA qualification completed or in progress (advantageous)
3–5 years’ experience in accounting within a healthcare environment
Advanced Excel skills and ERP exposure advantageous
