Financial Accountant

POSITION INFO:
A well-established company is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Administration & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, invoices, expenses, and transactions
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
• Process supplier invoices and liaise with suppliers regarding queries
• Reconcile payable and receivable accounts
• Support debt collection activities and follow up on outstanding balances
• Ensure all receipt and issuing documentation is accurately completed
• Maintain databases relating to creditors, debtors, and financial records

Administrative Support

• Perform filing, data capturing, and document management duties
• Provide administrative support to management and staff
• Manage finance-related correspondence and documentation
• Assist with general office administration where required

Customer & Supplier Communication

• Respond to client, supplier, and internal finance queries professionally
• Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships

Stock & Operational Support

• Assist with stocktaking processes
• Capture and reconcile stock figures accurately and timeously

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting
• 1-2 years accounting experience
• Engineering / Construction / Manufacturing industry experience
• Exposure to accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
