Company and Job Description:
You'll be part of a high-performing finance team, supporting the financial reporting and accounting functions of a growing hospitality and food & beverage operation. This role is ideal for a Financial Accountant who thrives in a deadline driven environment, has a strong eye for detail, and enjoys ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Manage month end processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, VAT, and statutory requirements
- Assist with the preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
- Maintain general ledger integrity and financial controls
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with operational teams to support business objectives
Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):
- BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
- 3–5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role
- Strong reconciliation experience is essential
- Sound understanding of financial reporting, VAT, and statutory compliance
- Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Retail, or related industry experience advantageous
- Experience on Sage Intacct highly advantageous
- Strong Excel skills and analytical ability
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
