Our client, a reputable and trusted Accounting Firm based in Pretoria West, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing reliable financial reporting to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and process journal entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank, balance sheet, VAT, debtor, creditor, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, and other statutory submissions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Prepare audit files and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and internal controls.
Job Experience and Skills Required:Education:- a Basic Accounting Degree
Experience:- 2–5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role.
- Experience within an Accounting Firm environment will be advantageous.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Knowledge of VAT and statutory compliance requirements.
Skills:- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working on accounting systems such as Sage, Pastel, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or Syspro.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
