POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Overseeing month-end accounting activities, including journal processing, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations Preparing accurate monthly financial results and supporting schedules up to trial balance level Assisting with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing monthly depreciation calculations Compiling year-end supporting documentation and liaising with auditors during external audit processes Providing financial reporting, analysis, and ad hoc support to management and key stakeholders Reviewing customer and supplier reconciliations while investigating and resolving account-related queries Supporting and mentoring finance administration staff to ensure effective day-to-day operations Contributing to the enhancement of internal controls, efficiencies, and financial reporting processes across the business Skills & Experience: 3-5 years' accounting experience gained within a commercial or corporate environment Strong exposure to month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial accounting processes Sound understanding of VAT, payroll taxes, and South African statutory and regulatory requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and resolve discrepancies Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy Ability to work independently while building effective relationships across a team-oriented environment Qualification: Completed SAIPA\/SAICA articles For more information connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
