POSITION INFO:
Our client is a respected organisation seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, taxation, compliance, and audit support. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys a hands-on accounting function and thrives in a deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end accounting processes, journal entries, and general ledger activities Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register and account for asset movements Ensure the accuracy and completeness of income statement and balance sheet accounts Prepare VAT, provisional tax, and income tax calculations and submissions Assist with annual financial statements and statutory compliance requirements Liaise with auditors and support annual audit processes Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Review supplier payments and invoices Assist with ad hoc finance-related projects and process improvements Qualification Relevant Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Experience Minimum 5 years' accounting experience Alternatively, completed articles with a minimum of 2 years' post-articles accounting experience Exposure to financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations, and month-end processes Experience within a commercial environment will be advantageous Skills Strong Microsoft Excel skills Sound technical accounting knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Highly organised with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Apply Now!
