Financial Accountant

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to monitor all financial data within the Group and prepare accurate statements for all our client’s companies. Ultimately, you will ensure all our accounting transactions comply with the law and support our clients investments.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

• Budgeting and forecasting,
• Managing compliance to all regulatory bodies
• Managing the external audit and
• The production of monthly management accounts and the annual financial statements.
• Manage external relations with financiers, auditors, SARS, creditors, and customers.
• Manage internal relationships:
• Finance department
• Acting as a support service to all members of the Group companies and
• Provide accurate data to Directors, senior management, and internal parties (as required).

Requirements:

• A degree in Accounting and some work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
• Solid knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance to GRAP
• Certification (e.g. CA (SA)) is preferable and a definite plus
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Syspro and/or Pastel
• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
• Excellent math skills with an attention to detail
• Committed to quality and service - excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with complex situations both internal and external to the organization.
