A reputable integrated social payments and digital marketplace platform in Africa is looking for an Accountant to join their rapidly growing organization. The organization is part of a diversified Fintech group that offers access to social and financial services through technology.

A reputable integrated social payments and digital marketplace platform in Africa is looking for an Accountant to join their rapidly growing organization. The organization is part of a diversified Fintech group that offers access to social and financial services through technology.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing statutory financial reports, management accounts and variance analysis. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing payment remittances, identifying development needs and implementing appropriate accounting and internal control systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing accounting and systems management as well as managing Account Officers.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom Honors in Accounting
Completed SAICA articles

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 3-4 years post article experience in a similar role
Experience in the Financial Services/Fintech/Insurance/Micro finance industries is preferred
Experience with HFM/Oracle/Sage/Pastel/Hyperion is preferred
Experience dealing with cross boarder payments and gateway payments
Experience dealing with mobile money is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
