The primary responsibility of the Financial Accountant is to ensure financial information to managem

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

System Administration on Accpac / SAP Business One

Review and processing of financial transactions

Preparation of month end journals

Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet items

Reconciliation of designated Income Statement items

Submission and follow up on all Statutory Enquiries with SARS and related parties.

Proactive management the accounting process, ensuring that all transactions are reflecting correctly on the accounting system and is allocated in accordance with IFRS

Consolidation of Group Trail Balances.

Financial reports - monthly and annual

Ensure compliance with systems rules and processes

Ensure that tasks are completed within the required deadlines set out

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Matric Certified

3-5 years of direct Financial Management/Accounting experience

CIMA/CA/B. Com Honours or equivalent Tertiary Qualification

Ideally working experience on Accpac or SAP Business One

Solid understanding of VAT with in-depth understanding of accounting theory

Strong understanding of salary, wage and roster processing

Analytical aptitude with a flair for numbers and attention to detail

Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Office/Powerpoint/ Excel Advanced)

Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport

· Proven Track record with high level Problem Solving

· Ability to exercise discretion in Information Disclosure

· Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work so as to meet deadlines

· Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards within a diverse workplace

· Strong commitment to service and quality standards as well as Client Satisfaction

· Demonstrated leadership and vison in managing staff groups and major projects

· Able to demonstrate experience in a financial environment

· Able to demonstrate aptitude of analyzing figures

· A sound mind with good judgment and the right attitude

· Excellent skills in making basic arithmetic calculations

· Must be able to work in a pressurized environment
