Our client in the automotive sector, based in Gqeberha, has an opportunity available for a Financial Accountant to join their Finance team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Various financial tasks for the financial team
Reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts monthly
Completion of Month Financial Accounting reports
Preparation of month end accounts
Ensure accurate processing of expenses to correct cost centres, GL accounts, material groups, etc.
Support the FACTS monthly transmission process
Prepare quarterly reports as per FACTS requirements
Maintain the fixed asset register and submit investment tracking reports
Support with completion and submission of tax returns and provisional tax payments
Preparation of ad hoc reports as requested
Preparation of year end packs
Co-ordinate ICS annual project as delegated
ICS: Manager/Staff member to diligently apply his mind to ensure that all transactions comply with:

- Compliance with Group Signature Guideline (General and Specific to BU and Function) and ensure that work is performed in accordance to these guidelines
- Compliance with Management Handbook and Local Work Instructions. Managers and staff need to ensure that they maintain the minimum INTERNAL CONTROL STANDARDS as described and annual re-evaluated in terms of ICS.

Requirements:

CA(SA) / B. Comm. Hons. (Accounting) Degree
Articles or 3-5 years in financial accounting role
Knowledge and understanding of IFRS and Group IFRS
Knowledge of SA Tax Laws
Fully computer literate
Experience with Computerised Accounting Environments
Ability to work under time pressure and to tight deadlines
Numerical Accuracy is a pre-requisite
Excellent SAP knowledge advantageous/preferential
SAP BW experience is advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong compliance mindset and awareness
Good team player with the ability to work independently
