JOB SUMMARY:
A leading professional membership body requires an experienced and innovative Financial Accountant to join their team based in Pretoria East.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the full financial function and will be the 2IC for the Financial Manager.

A leading professional membership body requires an experienced and innovative Financial Accountant to join their team based in Pretoria East.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the full financial function and will be the 2IC for the Financial Manager.

Duties include but not limited to:
Financial transactions from source document up to Trial Balance
Monthly management journal entries
Complete and process BBBEE verification
Draft monthly VAT submissions to Financial Manager
Ensure all expense source documents are checked and that variances are identified and corrected
Processing of cashbook transactions
Ensure receipt of valid source documents for all financial transactions
Create, distribute and follow-up on monthly invoicing
Debtors age analysis report
Distribute bi-weekly debtors age analysis report to business units to collect outstanding payments
Bank Statements on a daily basis
Maintain and update the creditors age analysis report
Reconcile all creditor statements with the creditor age analysis balance
Send payment notifications
Draft payroll changes and provide all required new employee details to Financial Manager for processing
Assistance with internal and external audits

This role will require of you to be diligent and hard-working.

Education:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles preferred
4 to 5 years' post articles experience in a full function accounting role
Excellent tax knowledge
Strong MS Excel skills
Strong Sage Evolution skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
Deadline driven and results orientated
Strong and driven personality
