JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the financial procedures leading up to and including the preparation of the financial management accounts. The supervision of staff dealing with KANBAN matters and responsible for general day-to-day financial administration.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Matric
Extensive experience of at least 10 years in an accounting environment
Accounting diploma with extensive experience in similar positions
Staff managerial experience

OR Relevant accounting degree, newly qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) or SAIPA registered

Efficiency on Microsoft Office Syspro and Accounting packages.
Computer literacy

Key Result Areas:

Compilation of annual and monthly management accounts including the preparation of the income statement and balance sheet of the trading and property-owning companies of the group.
Finalization of all books of account including General Ledger and the integrated books of Cash Books, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Ensuring entry of journals into Syspro and GL account allocations of all income and expenses
maintenance of the Fixed Asset register
Recon of the integrated Syspro modules to the general ledger
Recon of all balance sheet accounts to balance to GL
Preparation of accounts for the financial year-end audit.
Management of the functions of the credit controller and debtor’s clerk
Management of the functions of the Accounts supervisor and creditor clerks
Preparation and administration of payroll for remuneration of directors and senior managers.
Monthly submission of PAYE, UIF and SDL returns.
Annual preparation of IRP5/IT3a certificates and the balancing and submission of the tax recon.
Management of bank accounts including current and call accounts and authorization of payments.
Monthly cash flow report
Send monthly turnover figures to Stats SA
