JOB SUMMARY:
This is a wonderful opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join one of South Africa’s largest Construction and Property Development companies. The role requires an independent thinker with a strong personality, who has had direct reports in a previous role. The ideal candidate must have a sound understanding of cost of sales.

Job and Company Description:
My client is a leading Construction and Development company with a very proud brand reputation – both domestically and abroad. They are in search of a Financial Accountant adept at cost of sales calculations and budget preparations.

As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:

Cost of sales calculations
Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
Forecast costs and revenues
Manage tax payments
Organize internal audits
Prepare budgets
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
Analyze financial trends
Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree with Articles (SAICA / SAIPA)
Management experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
